            <description>The homeownership rate for African American households the fourth quarter of 2005 was 48.0 percent, while Hispanic households were at 50.0 percent. The homeownership rate for Asian, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders was 60.1 percent. By comparison, 76.0 percent of non-Hispanic whites were homeowners.</description>
